| | | | Patrols are an important part of any effective security solution, which ensures that our premises are safe and secure, especially during night hours and weekends when activity is less. It keeps the security guards alert on duty, deters intruders, and prevents unauthorized or illegal activities from occurring within the campus. The purpose of a patrol changes with every round taken by the security guard. For example, the first time a patrol is made, the security personnel may focus on breaches of the property by intruders. The second time, it might be to make sure that lights, and safety equipment such as fire assets are functioning properly.
We have seen that the most effective way to conduct and monitor patrols is by using mobile apps that combine QR Codes with GPS capabilities. Patrolling points and frequency are pre-defined and assigned to the security guards on duty, who also record their feedback and raise alarms through the app when discrepancies are observed. This ensures that the patrolling is regular, effective, and allows the use of live data and instant access to information. Stalwart’s in-house Guard Patrolling System combines all of the above features and has been implemented successfully at many of our customer locations. This integrated system helps to prevent incidents during the night and improves the overall alertness of the security team. Our customer view feature allows live access to patrolling data, thereby bringing in increased accountability and transparency in day-to-day operations.
| | | | | | | | | | | | An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without any human pilot, crew, or passengers on board. Although they were originally developed for military missions, their use expanded to many non-military applications such as aerial photography, environmental monitoring, security and surveillance as control technologies improved and costs fell.
Drones are legal to operate in India, subject to DGCA regulation. Recently the Civil Aviation Ministry has made significant changes to drone laws in the country such as waiving off the requirement of remote pilot certificates for flying small to medium size drones of up to 2kg for non-commercial purposes.
In Security Services: The use of drones in the security industry has been widely debated over the past years. The uncertainties around Government regulations, safety, privacy, and technical issues were a cause for concern initially, but in recent years, industries across the globe are increasingly adopting drone technology to improve safety, drive efficiency, and gather data. Stalwart partners with AltBird Robotics, a Drone services company specializing in high end surveillance and security solutions for various applications and industries. We bring together the functionality of drones to advanced robotics and Al based tools to generate information and perspectives that help organizations take critical decisions in shorter time frames but very accurately.
Having an electronic eye-in-the-sky is as close as it gets to a silver bullet for detection, recognition, and deterrence in the security context. The ability to schedule, repeat, and monitor autonomous missions, so that drone fleets can augment human security guards and fixed cameras, is a powerful force multiplier. UAVs are being used as first responders to emergencies, while being used for their critical event monitoring capabilities. At Stalwart, all legal and procedural aspects as laid down by regulatory bodies are strictly adhered to before, during, and post drone operations.
